Wine is culture, history, passion and tradition
Wine in our province, is like one of Verdi’s arias played at the Scala in Milan. The two go hand in hand.Vineyards, arable land and grazing meadows have always been the cast of a play that takes place on the rolling hills of our province. Since the beginning of time wine has been an integral part of our history, culture and, essentially, our everyday life. An ornately set table lacking a bottle of wine is inconceivable, just as any special event without a traditional toast does not fit into our way of life.
The results speak for themselves. There is no single wine in our region that is not renowned in the world, ranging from Brunello di Montalcino, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Chianti Classico and also the minor wines such as Chianti Colli senesi and Orcia DOC. September is a special month for wineries as they start the grape harvest then proceed to winemaking, hoping at the end to have a good product. It's a process that we live every year with enthusiasm, and every year is a magic event
